The Hispanic Pre-Law Review (HPLR) announces the recipients of three Outstanding Managing Editor prizes.

These prizes are awarded to HPLR Managing Editors who have guided, thoroughly from start to finish, the production of a published article. The criteria for these prizes are based solely on editorial contributions and the guidance of rigorous legal analysis. The recipients are selected by the HPLR Executive Team. The recipients will be recognized on stage at the Hispanic Pre-Law Society’s Noche de Legado Gala on March 27.

This year, the recipients are as follow:

Sylvia J. Martínez-López (GS'27) is a Managing Editor at HPLR. She studies Political Science and Sociology, with interests in comparative politics, international relations, children’s rights law, immigration law, and labor and employment law. Fun fact: Sylvia grew up crossing the border between Tijuana, México, and San Diego, California, daily.

Rafael Vanuno (GS’27) is a Managing Editor at HPLR. He studies English Literature at Columbia and Ethics at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Rafael has an interest in the intersection of the arts, education, and law.

Patricia Mayorga (CC'28) is a Managing Editor at HPLR. She studies cognitive science and has an interest in medical care and immigration law. Fun fact, Patricia was born and raised in Queens, but has really only explored South Queens and wants to venture out – especially for the food.
